Evedon Naturescape
Let the kids explore, climb and conquer the fort. With balancing logs hand-picked from the property, stepping stumps and balance beams, the kids will have a ball. Located near the restaurant and seating to follow at the Naturescape, parents can enjoy cakes and coffee while the kids play.
Evedon Lakeside Gallery
We love showcasing the work of local artists and artisans to our guests. Evedon Lakeside Gallery is always changing to reflect what’s new – including local artwork, hand crafted wood work, homemade soy candles and soaps, and hand illustrated cards and bookmarks of local birdlife. We even have our own range of home-made jam, chutneys and preserved. Come and check out the locally made arts and crafts!
Kayaking
Fancy a paddle on the dam? We have kayaks available free for onsite guests to use, with oars and life jackets provided. Perfect for kids and adults alike!
Not staying in the retreat? Grab a bite to eat in our restaurant and speak to our friendly staff for paddles and life jackets.
Guests are welcome to bring their own kayaks and canoes.
Wildflowers
Spring is the time for wildflowers in bloom! It’s beautiful all year out here, but there’s something special about those first few weeks of sunshine with blooming flowers and a flowing waterfall. Whether you book an overnight stay and spend a day exploring for wildflowers along our walk trails, or just drop in for a Devonshire tea and a ramble, now is the time to come out and explore! The Monarach butterflies will soon be out and enjoying the sunshine…
Discover the Ferguson Valley
Spend the day exploring! The Ferguson Valley region includes art galleries, wineries, boutique breweries, and the quirky Gnomesville, all a short drive from Evedon Lakeside Retreat. Experience the best of nature in the Ferguson Valley’s national parks, forests, and riversides. Local walking and mountain bike trails offer spectacular views, wildflowers in season, wildlife sightings and general relaxation away from the city’s hustle and bustle.
